Abstract
In the present study, Numerical simulation of a screw vacuum pump with variable pitch is done using commercial CFD package ANSYS fluent. The results are compared with the experimental data obtained on the test rig. Results for a simulated pump are similar to those obtained for the real pump, indicating that simulations could serve as a time-saving reference for pump designers.
