Abstract
Studies revealed that stevia represent a new opportunity for researchers and farmers both. It is a natural alternative to artificial sweetener belongs to asteracece family. Hexane extract prepared from stevia leaves and characterized by Gas ChromatographyMass Spectroscopy in which 29 compounds were identified which showed the presence of acid, ester and hydrocarbon. The presence of different bioactive compounds in the Stevia rebaudiana (leaves) showed the use of plant for various industries and pharmaceuticals.
