Abstract
Internet of Things (IoT) is the internetworking of physical devices, vehicles, buildings and other items which enable these objects to collect and exchange data. The network used in IoT is Low power and loosy network. (LLN). i.e., the nodes in this network are energy constrained. The protocol used for LLN is Routing Protocol for Low power and loosy networks (RPL). This paper concentrates on the work of RPL in WSN and IoT and it gives a short review of its features, advantages , disadvantages and research trends.
